Infirmary Bed

 

Lifting system by trapezoidal arms electrically articulated by 2 linear motors Linak brand. The lightness and reliability of this system make Matrix E20 a high-performance bed, ideal for any hospital ward.

 

Lifting stroke 390-763 mm and maximum patient load 250 Kg.

 

Hand-held Control

 

Highly shock resistant. Powered by helical cable.

 

The hand-held control allows the medical positions Auto Contour, Trendelenburg and Reversed to be performed.

EFFECTIVE PROCEDURES

 

Medical Positions

 

The bed is equipped with the function Trendelenburg and Reversed Trendelenburg. This is performed by 2 linear electric motors brand Linak, with a maximum angle of inclination of 17º.

Combined with the Auto Contour function, it becomes possible to position the bed in Cardiac Chair. This position is very helpful in restoring the patient’s motor skills and carrying out daily activities.

ERGONOMICS AND PROTECTION

 

Vascular Position

 

The height of the foot section is adjustable point by point by a rack for manual use.

 

When combined with the leg section inclination and Trendelenburg, it can improve blood flow to the heart, a necessary procedure in reducing the risk of hypovolemic shock and after some vascular surgeries.

 

360° Protection

 

The corners of the bed are equipped with shock-absorbing discs and fairings with ABS protections.

 

The wheel carriers are also ABS-faired.

EARLY MOBILITY

 

Pressure Ulcer Prevention

 

The articulation of the mattress platform (back + legs) causes harmful muscular pressure in the abdominal and lumbar areas.

 

By lifting the articulations, they simultaneously perform a synchronous gliding. This double self-regression of the back and leg articulations causes decompression and relief of the sacroiliac area, usually a critical point in the development of pressure.

An important factor in reducing the length of hospital stays is the recovery of the patient’s confidence in their motor skills.

 

The bed has features designed to help with this task, such as the Auto Contour, which helps you sit up without fear of slipping, the design of the guard rails, which double as support when getting out of bed, or the reduced height of the bed.

INFECTION CONTROL

 

Hygiene Components

 

The headboard and foot panels and the split guard rails are produced in synthetic Medical HDPE, a material with great capacity for hygiene and disinfection, durability and high resistance to shock. The panels are vertically removable and have lockers for transportation.

 

The bed board is made up of 11 modular components made of PPC plastic or 4 single components made of (high pressure thermolaminate). All the elements are removable for cleaning using a quick-lock system.

 

Total Disinfection

 

The design of the bed was conceived in order to facilitate the cleaning processes. Reducing dirt accumulation points as much as possible.

INCREASED MONITORING

 

Fall Prevention

 

Side guard rails comply with EN 60601-2-52. They prevent and avoid the risk of injuries caused by accidental falls through high side coverage and components with adequate spaces to avoid entrapment of body parts for patients and caregivers.

 

Zero Gap

 

Although resistant when locked, the side guard rails carry handles that are easy and quick for the health care provider to operate, but provide reassurance against improper or accidental use.

 

When folded down, they fold out from under the bed. This allows a stretcher to be placed against the bed and the patient to be safely transferred, facilitates patient entry and exit and does not disturb medical interventions.

RELIABLE OPTIONAL EXTRAS

 

Integral Guard Rails

 

Option of metal guard rails in epoxy-painted steel tube and extension with plastic ear. Folding, with safety lock and ergonomic handle for movement.

 

Function Lock

 

As an option, the MATRIX E20 bed may be equipped with a supervisor control for blocking electrical functions for functional convenience or to safeguard the patient’s health.

 

The supervisor control is in an area inaccessible to the bedridden patient.

EASIER TRANSPORT

 

TENTE Wheels

 

High-quality German brand Tente wheels, Ø150 mm, single-band ABS-faired.

 

As an option, it may be supplied with metal Tente wheels.

 

Centralised Braking

 

Bed equipped with 2 brake pedals on the back corners of the bed, with centralised effect and directional lock.

 

As an option, it may be supplied with a cross-brake bar.

SMOOTH MOVEMENT

 

Cable Clip

 

Power cables damaged by transport is one of the most frequent malfunctions in electric hospital beds.

 

Matrix E20 is equipped with a convenient portable cable holder to fit on top of the head panel in addition to the fixed frame reel.

 

Batteries

 

Beds can be equipped with a battery option to keep the bed operational when disconnected from the power supply.

When connected to the power supply, it electronically manages the charging, making it unnecessary to disconnect the power socket once the batteries are charged. Certified with electrical surge protection and anti-static wheel option.

Supervisor Control

With selective locks to protect against improper use. Allows performing the Cardiac Chair medical position, as well as the CPR and Shock emergency interventions.

X-ray Cassette Holder

Telescopic and total extraction, loading the radiographic cassette without removing the bed panel. It has adjustment rulers to the various sizes, brands and models of cassettes.

Guard rail decoration

Decorative side guard rails panels with built-in angle gauges and a range of colours to distinguish between care units in hospitals.

DIN Bar for Accessories

Bilateral universal support with sliding hooks, allowing the suspension of urine bags of any size, as well as other accessories and medical devices.

Batteries

Module of 2 gel batteries of 1.2 A/h to maintain the operation of the bed when disconnected from the power supply. It has an autonomy of about 18 cycles or 24 hours in standby.

Fifth Wheel

System to improve the manoeuvrability of the bed in tight spaces by rotating 360º on a vertical axis and with directional lock for driving in a straight line.

Telescopic pole adjustable in height and rotation, removable and fitting on both sides of the bed. Four hooks for hanging bags for intravenous administration.

Lifting Trapezium

O2 Bottle Holder
