UNIVERSAL HEALTH

Hydraulic Bed

With hospitals being increasingly encouraged to improve energy efficiency, greener solutions are required. With this in mind Matrix H has emerged, a high performance and appealing design hydraulically articulated hospital bed.

With a four-part bed, elevation, Trendelenburg and central locking without any energy expenditure, this is a bed that fits perfectly in any hospital ward, with special emphasis on field hospitals and places without access to electricity

Intuitive Controls

With well-marked and easy to use handles and pedals, Matrix H is a bed that requires no learning, increasing the objectivity of care provision from the very first use. Mechanical action, unlike digital, does not encourage unnecessary adjustment of the bed, which provides greater availability of health professionals

EFFICIENT CARE

Sincron System

With patient comfort and recovery in mind, Matrix H has 4 bed sections easily articulated manually or hydraulically.

In order to relieve the weight on the patient’s back when reclining, the bed includes a synchronous system. This means that the patient himself/herself generates a compensation distributing part of the weight from the back to the hip section.

Precise Action

The split side guard rails incorporate bed inclination angle gauges, improving care delivery by continuously monitoring the patient’s position.

EFFECTIVE PROCEDURES

Medical Positions

Matrix H bed is equipped with the Trendelenburg and Reversed Trendelenburg function. This is performed by hydraulic pumps, with a maximum angle of inclination of 15º.

Combined with the Auto Contour function, it becomes possible to position the bed in Cardiac Chair. This position is very useful in the recovery of the patient’s motor skills by facilitating the performance of daily activities, such as the administration of medication or autonomous meals.

Differentiating Accessories

Matrix H includes the possibility of incorporating important accessories and extras for different areas of healthcare linked to bedridden patients, from physiotherapy to radiology, among others.

The cassette holder is telescopic and of total extraction out of the back area of the bed, which is radio-transparent in phenolic (high pressure thermolaminate). It has rulers for adjustment to various cassette sizes, brands and models.

EARLY MOBILITY

Pressure Ulcer Prevention

The articulation of the mattress platform (back + legs) causes harmful muscular pressure in the abdominal and lumbar areas.

By lifting the articulations, they simultaneously perform a synchronous gliding. This double self-regression of the back and leg articulations causes decompression and relief of the sacroiliac area, usually a critical point in the development of pressure ulcers.

Self-Confidence

An important factor in reducing the length of hospital stays is the recovery of the patient’s confidence in their motor skills.

The bed has features designed to help in this task, such as the Cardiac Chair that positions the patient to practice autonomous activities, the design of the guard rails, which fold as support in getting out of bed, or the reduced height of the bed.

URGENT ACTION

Vascular Position

The height of the foot section is adjustable point by point by a rack for manual use.

When combined with leg inclination or Trendelenburg tilt, it may improve blood flow to the heart, a necessary procedure in reducing the risk of hypovolemic shock and after some vascular surgeries.

Emergency Procedures

The hydraulic system, by the nature of the actuators themselves, facilitates quick and uncomplicated.

Special emphasis on the folding of the back section which, in a few seconds, may go from a sitting to a lying down position and thus facilitate helping patients in cardiac arrest.

ADAPTATION TO NEEDS

Bed Extension

The foot panel may be adjustable with the use of handles, allowing the extension of the bed in a quick and easy way.
Telescopic mattress support grid, allowing the extension to be maintained with the articulated foot section.

Support Drawer

The foot panel has an optional telescopic opening support to support the changing service of the bed linen and to facilitate hygiene.

INFECTION CONTROL

Hygiene Components

The headboard and foot panels and the split guard rails are produced in synthetic Medical HDPE, a material with great capacity for hygiene and disinfection, durability and high resistance to shock. The panels are vertically removable and have lockers for transportation.

The bed board consists of 11 modular components made of PPC plastic or 4 single phenolic (high pressure thermolaminate) components. All the components can be extracted for cleaning using a quick-lock system.

Self-Lubricating Joints

All the articulating parts of the bed are made up of self-lubricating components, preventing failure of operation at critical heights and drastically reducing maintenance costs.

CREASED MONITORING

Fall Prevention

Side guard rails comply with EN 60601-2-52. They prevent and avoid the risk of injuries caused by accidental falls through high side coverage and components with adequate spaces to avoid entrapment of body parts for patients and caregivers.

Zero Gap

Although resistant when locked, the side guard rails carry handles that are easy and quick for the health care provider to operate, but provide reassurance against improper or accidental use.

When folded down, they retract under the bed. This brings several advantages, such as nesting other devices to safely transfer the patient, facilitating patient entry and exit without reducing legroom or disturbing medical interventions.

RELIABLE OPTIONAL EXTRAS

Integral Guard Rails

Option of metal guard rails in epoxy-painted steel tube and extension with plastic ear for high side coverage of the bed.

Folding, with safety lock and ergonomic handle for movement.

TENTE Wheels

Tente ABS faired wheels with Ø150mm. Rotating effect and fitted with ball bearings. As an option, it may be supplied with Tente metal wheels.

Bed equipped with 2 brake pedals, at the rear corners of the bed, with centralised effect and full directional lock.
