General Control

BASIC FUNCTIONS

Embbeded on head side-rails (2 external + 1 internal) performs the following functions:- Back-rest;- Leg-rest;- Elevation;- Trendelenburg / Anti-Trend. The movements act only after release the ON button that also acts the emergency stop function.

POSITIONS PRE-MEMORISATION

The bed system has 2 memories that allows to pre-memorise often used positions. After memorise the desired position, the P1 and P2 keys move the bed to the settled positions..

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Some further features are available as automatic releases:
- Auto Cardiac Chair;
- Auto CPR and/or Sleep.

The lateral tilting positions are available for CW and CCW keys.

Supervisor control

M-DISPLAY© DIGITAL CONTROL

Digital control option allows to display and configure bedís extra data and parameters, on which are highlighted the following:
- Continuous lateral tilting,
- Maintenance log.

ANALOGIC CONTROL

Embbeded on footend side-rails performs the following functions:
- Lateral tilt;
- Back-rest alarm <30ļ;
- Patient exit alarm;
- Night light;
- Selective functions locking;
- Battery level indicator.

Digital scale

Within digital control option weighing data are managed by the computer application HBCS© specially developed for the beds IMO.

ANALOGIC SCALE

Embbeded on footend side-rails digital scale allows to perform the following weighing functions:
- Instantaneous reading;- Wi-fi communication wifi (extra option);
- Tare and Auto-tare;- Weighing memorisation;- Zero and Auto-zero.

WEIGHING MANAGEMENT

As an extra option an urinary patient flow control module it may be included collecting, measuring and recording information.

Foot control

FOOT CONTROL

The bed base has bilateral controls foot operated with the following functions:
- Elevation;
- Cardiac chair;
- Auto CPR / Sleep.

PRONE POSITION ROLLING

With lateral tilt active mode the foot control switchs to lateral rotation drive.

This feature is a great deal of help to caregivers performs hands free patient positionings. Such is the case of some medical exams, nursing procedures and patient cleaning tasks that requires prone rolling.

Lateral tilting

PULMONARY THERAPY

Continuous lateral tilting function allows through the patient's postural changing apply respiratory therapies based on multiple medical studies and scientific papers. This technique is highly beneficial for the respiratory function contributing to risks reduction on acquired respiratory infections.

PRESSURE ULCERS

Lateral tilting technique permits the pressure ulcer relief treatment through the postural changing method and the consequent patientís morbid weight continuous distribution, avoiding the capillary blood vessels occlusion.

PRONE POSITIONING

The lateral tilting facilitate prone rotation maneuvers, for medical exams, nursing treatments and the patient cleaning tasks.

C arm scanner

CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION

Andrew R300 is compatible with Carm scanner major brands.

The mattress platform is made in HPL X-ray translucent and all the mechanics are confined to the bed perimeter, creating a 1020x550x500 mm entirely free area.

This feature allows some vital treatments in bed such as the cardiac catheterization.

FOOTEND EXTENSION

Some important human body parts that doesnít coincide with the clear zone, such as the head, can be scanned repositioning the patient with the combined use of the bedís footend extension in 220 mm.

Emergency procedures

ENDOTRACHEAL INTUBATION

Headboard is vertically removable. However, headboard frame is fixed to the base and platform articulations independent, facilitating endotracheal intubation maneuver by moving the bed to its highest position, without headboard removal need.

CPR (CARDIO-PULMONARY REANIMATION)

Bilateral handle for back and leg-rest fall quick realease in case of cardiopulmonary reanimation procedure.

Double auto-regression

ABDOMINAL COMPRESSION

Back-rest and leg-rest articulation (Fowler position) causes a harmful stress on the patientís abdominal and lumbar body areas.

Raising platform articulations releases a simultaneous synchronized sliding, very important to a muscular relief especially on abdominal surgery recovering.

PRESSURE ULCERS PREVENTION

Mattress platform auto-regression also provides a pelvic and sacro-iliac zone relief, a critical point on pressure sores development.

Infections control

HDPEmedicalģ

Head/foot boards and side-rails are made in HDPEmedicalģ a high density polyethylene resin, with the following features:

- Anti-shock, the plastic donít brake in result of light and accidental shocks.

- Fire retardant treatment within M2 class.

ANTIMICROBIAL TREATMENT

It contains an antimicrobial additive* which is over 99% effective against the following bacteria acquired at hospital environment:
- Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538
- Escherichia coli NCTC 8196
- Legionella pneumophila NCTC 11192
- Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus ATCC.

Risk of falls

STANDARD EN 60601-2-52

The side-rails are allways included on the bed set-up and meet the new safety European Norm EN60601-2- 52.

Prevent and avoid the risk of injuries on patientís accidental falls, by a lateral coverage high degree and components has adequate gaps to prevent body parts trapping.

GAP ZERO

Side-rails are splitted and collapsible individually. The locking on upper position is made by a steel paw and has a safety lever which impedes the accidental triggering.

While folded retract over the platform edge to enable the Zero Gap on stretchers transference.

Safety alarmes

<30ļ BACK-REST

Multiple scientific studies have shown that rising back-rest above 30ļ in patients over mechanical ventilation, reduces the risk of developing pneumonia, besides to a sustained improvement on hemodynamic condition. An useful alarm can be activated to sound whenever back-rest get lowered below that angle.

PATIENTíS EXIT ALARM

A convenient alarm can be activated to indicate patientís out of bed untimely exits or accidental falls.

The system is controlled by the weighing scale that sounds the alarm when occurs a sudden change in weight. A timer delays the alarm in 30 seconds to mislead some false episodes.

Functions locking

SELECTIVE LOCKINGS

Bed electrical functions can be locked by service convenience purposes or patient health safety. Selectively can be locked:
- back-rest; - Leg-rest; - Hi-Low; - Trendelenburg.

All togheter locks combination inactivates the bed completely

TRENDELENBURG LOCK

The Trendelenburg lock is an unique innovation developed by IMO with a great deal of importance in patients over vascular pathologies, such as thrombophlebitis, whose angle variation may cause serious health situations.

The bed can maintain active all other functions except the longitudinal angles.

Central locking system

HIGH RANGE CASTERS

ANDREW R300 beds are equipped with high quality casters made by german brand Tente.

With a diameter of ō150mm and double wheels ensures maximum smoothness in passing ground rebounds such as elevators entrance.

They have anti-static capacity to discharge static electricity and are ABS shielded to avoid dust accumulation.

CENTRAL LOCKING

Is provided by 4 brake pedals, one in each bedís corner, with centered effect and the following functions:
- Free course (horizontal pedal);
- Total locking(red);
- Fifth wheel with directional locking (green).

Brake alarm

BRAKE ALARM

The brake alarm acts when bed is unlocked and the power cord remains plugged.

This feature reduces considerably the maintenance costs.

HEAD/FOOT BOARDS LOCKING

Head and foot boards are equipped with locking buttons which prevent the panels accidental removal while bedís transportation.

Optionally models can be supplied without the lockers

Fifth wheel

FIFTH WHEEL

The fifth wheel system significantly improves the bedís maneuverability in narrow spaces.

The control unit is integrated in the brake pedals at directional locking position, making it unnecessary to incorporate a dedicated pedal.

DIRECTIONAL LOCKING

Locking one caster swivel effect allows to drive the bed over a straight path throughout the hospital corridors. The control is available in the brake pedal at the green dot position.

Batteries back-up

BATTERIES PACK

Bed has a 2 batteries pack to maintain full operability off power supply. It has a range of about 40 cycles or 24 hours on standby

When plugged to power supply, it does an electronic loading management, being unnecessary unplugging the power cord once loaded.

CHARGE LEVELS

The supervisor control allows to check batteries charge level at the pile icon key.

Values can be displayed in voltage or load percentage

Height adjustable system by articulated trapezes electrically operated by 2 linear motors Linak brand.

Lifting stroke of 380 mm and a maximum patient load of 250kg.

Touch screen digital control

TOUCH SCREEN

Monitor at the foot of the bed with the functions of:
- Digital Scale,
- Positions check out,
- Config,
- Maintenance log.

It is necessary to disconnect a cable before removing the footboard.

Side rails

ANGLES GAUGE

Side-rails integrate angles gauges to check back-rest inclination on head side-rails and Trendelenburg inclination on footend side-rails.

2 exterior controls releasing the following functions:
ON boton, Back-rest, Leg-rest, Hi-low, Trendelenburg;
- Auto CPR, Shock, Cardiac Chair, Flat (procedures position);

Handset simple control with 8 keys, releasing the following functions:

Bedís base is provided with bilateral foot controls with the following functions:

Matress platform

MATTRESS PLATFORM

Modular mattress platform made with 11 PPC fiberglass reinforced elements.

Extractable for cleaning by an fast clipping system.

ABDOMINAL DECOMPRESSION

Back-rest articulation causes a harmful stress on the patientís abdominal and lumbar body areas.

On raising platform articulation a simultaneous synchronized sliding is released. Is indeed a very important feature to get a muscular relief especially along abdominal surgery recovering.

HDPE-High density polyethylene

Head and foot boards and Splitted side-rails are produced in HDPE-high density polyethylene with high impact resistance.

The head and foot boards are vertically removable for endotracheal maneuver and have transport safety lockers, which can be removed at the customer's request.

DENDOTRACHEAL INTUBATION

Headboard frame is fixed to the base and platform articulations independent, facilitating endotracheal intubation maneuver by moving the bed to it highest position. Removal headboard no need.

Extensible footend

EXTENSION FEATURE

The footend board is lenght adjustable by fixation knobs to allow the mattress platform extension over 220 mm.

Is equipped with a telescopic mattress rack to keep extension feature with the foot section raised.

SUPPORT DRAWER

The footend has a retractable rack with telescopic opening to support the bed linen exchange service.

X-ray cassette holder

UNIVERSAL CASSETTE HOLDER (Opcional)

Allows the collection of x-ray pictures of head and trunk.

Telescopic drawer with bearing ball slide, extractable on head end side. Can be opened without lifting backrest section or lowering the siderails. Lenght adjustable ruler to fit several cassette types.

Back-rest section made of radiotranslucent HPL Compact, removable for cleaning.

Night light

NIGHT LIGHT

Composed by 1 white LED + 1 blue LED. Blue LED turns on when bed reaches minimal height indicating patient is placed on a safe position for a night sleep.

Night light has a connector switch and requires the bed plugged to an electric power source.

The bed has bilateral levers to a quick release back-rest dropping while a cardiopulmonary reanimation procedure.

Are placed on the back-rest section edge corners to improve ergonomy performance. Are made in red plastic to ensure an instant identification. Labellng is according safety european standards

AUTO-CPR

Overall articulations automatic disarming is possible in the Side Rails control or on Foot control (when this option is chosen in the bed configuration).

It also fits as the Sleep function once positioning the bed in the minimum height, the safest position for patientís night sleep cycles.

Functions locking

SELECTIVE LOCKING

The electrical functions can be locked by service convenience purposes or patient healthcare protection.

Locking buttons are placed on Side Rails control, locking selectively the 4 bed actuators.

Central locking system
